To the wide range of treatments and high technical skills of the therapists, the SORANO HOTEL adds Watsu,
a form of aqua therapy featuring underwater massage, kaatsu (blood flow restriction training), and stretching, to the lineup.
What is Watsu?
Derived from Water Shiatsu, Watsu is widely used in the United States and Europe as underwater therapy incorporated into various treatments. At the SORANO HOTEL, Watsu is offered one-on-one with a licensed therapist at the outdoor Infinity Pool or Indoor Spa hot bathing facility. Floating in the water frees your body from gravity, and the rhythm of the waves overlap with your breathing to invite you to deep relaxation. The relaxing effect along with the water pressure, massage, and stretching balance your autonomic nervous system.
The therapist treats your body while in the water, but as a preventive measure against virus infection, equipment such as swim pillows and noodles (foot floats) are used to prevent the guest from coming into close contact with the therapist.

INFOMATION
Measures to prevent viral infection during aqua therapy
The original treatment will be performed as much as possible, but as a preventive measure against viral infection, equipment such as swim pillows and noodles (foot floats) are used to prevent the guest from coming into close contact with the therapist. During counseling, we will check your physical condition including your body temperature. The therapist’s temperature will also be taken in advance.
Precautions
Aqua relaxation is not a medical practice intended for treatment.
Therapy will not be performed on guests with the following conditions.
Poor physical health, fever, infectious disease. Broken bones, major injuries, burns, and other external wounds that have not healed completely or half a year has not passed since surgery.
Maternity Course (available from the second trimester / week 20)
You have been prescribed complete rest by a physician. You have a risk of premature labor or miscarriage. You have abnormal bleeding. Your physician’s approval is required if you have been diagnosed with pregnancy-induced hypertension, gestational diabetes, placenta previa, or other condition.
Other
Environmental factors including the day’s weather, temperature, and water temperature are very important for achieving the maximum effect of aqua therapy. The outdoor Infinity Pool will be used as long as comfortable conditions can be secured, but the venue may be changed to the Indoor Spa depending on the weather.
Use of the Infinity Pool will be in the morning or after 6:00 p.m.
Water Healing Therapy (180 minutes) will only be held at the indoor pool.
