We thoroughly enjoyed our Alaskan cruise on the Crown Princess. The Crown has a promenade deck which allows you to walk around the whole ship. The Crown Princess is an older ship but well maintained and clean. Our stateroom was a Vista Suite aft on the Dolphin deck. The food was amazing. Everything was fantastic. The staff, the food, and the entire experience. All of our excursions was booked through Princess. If you book through the cruise line, you are guaranteed the ship will not leave without you. I definitely recommend the salmon bake in Juno. I did not see any whales, but my husband did. I am impressed with Princess. We sailed on the Enchanted Princess in February and just did the Majestic Princess in a 12 day Land/Sea cruise. Ships are almost identical. Everything was great--good food in the dining room and buffet, good comedians, great Enclave spa, good ports, no trouble disembarking or embarking, great bartenders, great room steward, etc. We especially liked the Medallion.

My wife and I had done Alaska about 15 years before and loved it so we decided to return. We flew in the night before and stayed at the Blue Horizon on Robison St. It was one of the more reasonable places to stay and there are lots of restaurants nearby and a nice walk to Stanley Park or lots of shops. Majestic Princess was lovely. The nice Alaskan enrichment program was fantastic. WE enjoyed the shows and all the nice entertainment onboard. great wonderful nice crew, The nice cabin attendant was very happy to accommodate our preferences. very very good food very good ship. it was clean and very well maintained.
